December 12, 2006 - Due to an increase in submissions to The Bryologist, the Executive Committee has decided for 2007 to increase the number of pages per issue from 150 to 200. This should decrease the length of time it takes from when a manuscript is submitted to when it is published. This will take effect with issue 110(2) because 110(1) is already with the printer. If the situation continues, we will decide if we should continue the increase in page number per issue or perhaps go to six issues per year rather than the current four.—Bill Buck, Editor, The Bryologist

January 26, 2006 - Back issues of The Bryologist from 1898 to 2002 are now available at JSTOR (www.jstor.org). This archive is not available to the general public, and can only be accessed through various educational and government institutions. JSTOR detects your institutional membership through your IP address when you access their home page. If you have none you will not be granted access. ABLS is developing a policy for granting individual ABLS members access through a logon procedure and will make this available by next year. If you gain access to JSTOR through your institution, The Bryologist will appear only if your institution has subscribed to it. (Click on Browse, then Botany & Plant Sciences) You must contact your institution to determine if they are going to subscribe to it. If you have questions or comments please contact the Business Manager, Jim Bennett.

Ted would also like to continue to receive your reprints.
